Lauren Skinner
Level 5 Stylist
16+ years behind the chair
Lauren Skinner has taught extensions internationally for more than five years, across two brands, and helped build the advanced education programs behind them. That is the background she brings to a consultation chair in Colorado Springs.
She is a Level 5 stylist, Aveda-trained with sixteen years behind the chair, working in weft and keratin-bond methods. Her specialty inside that is hair additions for thinning, balding, and low-density hair, which is a different job from adding length. The finish she goes for is natural. Extensions that add shape and fullness without announcing themselves.
Her route here was not direct. She was in event and wedding planning until the 2008 recession, moved into bridal styling, and found extensions from there. She has also owned salons and barbershops, which is why she maps your maintenance schedule and long-term cost out loud at the first appointment.
She works with Oribe and uses long-barrel Bio Ionic irons to match curl pattern on extension hair.
Outside the salon Lauren cooks, watches movies with her son and their dog, and gets out for golf.
Lauren is currently accepting new extension guests at Salon Kreed in Colorado Springs.
