What brings Tri-Lakes guests down
Monument and Palmer Lake have good everyday salons. What the Tri-Lakes does not have much of is multi-session correction work and a dedicated extension team, and those are the two services that fill most of our Monument appointments. Corrections are consultation-priced because no two are alike, and a large one may be staged across two visits to protect the hair rather than forced into a single day.
Our extension artists color-match every set at a free consultation before a single piece goes in, which matters more when you are driving in: you leave the consultation knowing the price, the install length, and the maintenance interval, so the second trip is the only one that takes your afternoon.
Why Monument hair behaves differently
Monument sits close to 7,000 feet, a few hundred feet above us and noticeably drier and windier on the ridge. Guests who move down from Palmer Lake or up from the Springs almost always notice their hair changing before they notice anything else, usually as more frizz, faster fade and more static through the winter.
The service that solves the most of that at once is Cezanne, a formaldehyde-free smoothing treatment starting at $275. It cuts frizz and dry time, lasts three to five months, and has no downtime, so you can wash and style the same day. It is our most-requested add-on for Tri-Lakes guests and it pairs well with a longer maintenance interval, which is the point when you are driving in.
For color, the practical move is fewer, bigger appointments. Hand-painted balayage grows out softly enough to stretch to three or four months, so most of our Monument guests run balayage plus a gloss refresh rather than a foil pattern that shows a hard line at six weeks.

Common Questions
- How far is Salon Kreed from Monument?
- About fifteen minutes south on I-25, exiting at InterQuest Parkway. We are at 1828 Spring Water Point Suite 100 in the Victory Ridge development in northern Colorado Springs.
- What helps with frizz and static from the dry air up here?
- Cezanne, a formaldehyde-free smoothing treatment starting at $275. It reduces frizz and blow-dry time, lasts three to five months, and has no downtime, so you can wash your hair the same day.
- Can a color correction be done in one visit?
- Sometimes, but not always, and we will tell you which at the consultation rather than partway through. Large corrections are staged across two appointments to protect the hair. Because we know many guests drive in, we plan the schedule around that up front.
- How often would I need to come back?
- For hand-painted balayage, most guests stretch to every three to four months with a gloss refresh in between. Extensions are typically moved up every six to eight weeks depending on the method, which we map out at your free consultation.
