Jadyn Fulton found hair before she ever picked up a pair of shears. In high school she took a job at the front desk of a salon, watched the room, and fell for the whole thing, the transformations, the trust, the way people walked out standing a little taller. She never looked back. She trained at IBMC College in Fort Collins and now brings that same front-row enthusiasm to her chair at Salon Kreed.

Her happy place is the work a lot of stylists shy away from. Jadyn genuinely loves perms, along with vivids and bold split-color, the kind of hair that turns a head on the street. She is just as devoted to a great cut, especially long layers and every style of bangs, which she treats as something close to a personal cause. Her tools give her away, a blow dryer and round brush for a clean finish, and a half-inch marcel iron she calls her best friend.

What sets Jadyn apart is how she runs a consultation. She asks question after question, where do you want to see the color, how do you want your face framed, what would you change if you could, and she reads body language as closely as she listens. Fifteen to twenty minutes before a single foil or cut, because she would rather understand exactly what you want than guess. When a request is a stretch, she will find a way to make it happen or have the honest conversation about how to get there together.

She is also the stylist who remembers your dog's name. For Jadyn the best part of the job is being a support for people, the shoulder to laugh with or cry on, not just the person handing you a mirror. One of her proudest moments was her cosmetology commencement, when a handful of her clients showed up to cheer her on. Her advice is refreshingly plain, wash your hair when it actually needs it, not on a schedule, and never skip heat protection. Off the clock you will find her hiking, making art, at a live show, or home with her boyfriend and dog and an episode of Bob's Burgers, usually with some dad rock going.
