Cristal Hernandez grew up in a salon and never planned to do hair. A high school cosmetology class, taken as a second choice, changed that once the educators brought in color theory. After graduating in 2020, Cristal finished training at Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy.

Cristal is a Wella Color Expert. The certification took two and a half years to finish, most of it during the pandemic. Cristal is also certified in Hot Heads tape-in and K-tip extensions.

Color is the work Cristal loves most. Blondes, brunettes, everything in between, and the occasional color correction. Every consultation starts with the history and health of the hair before any service is agreed on.

You do not need to know exactly what you want before you come in. Bring inspiration photos, plus what you love and what you do not, and Cristal will work it out with you.

The tools Cristal cannot work without are Wella Ultimate Smooth Serum, K18, an XL round brush and rollers for a bouncy blowout.

Away from the salon, Cristal spends time with family and friends, plays video games, reads and builds Lego. More time outdoors in Colorado is next on the list. The music at the chair is alternative, indie, R&B and chill electronic.
